The Deputy Hub Director Programs supports the Hub Director in setting up and monitoring operations.
He/she is responsible for supervising and coordinating Solidarités programs in the country/region of assignment.
Strategic orientation:
Follow and analyze the political, cultural and economic context of the country/region of intervention
Organize diagnostic missions and analyze humanitarian needs in the country/region of intervention
Coordinate the development of projects and the drafting of proposals to donors
Coordination and operational monitoring:
Ensure that all programs are implemented in coherence with annual operational strategy, Solidarités International technical requirements and financial donor criterias
Ensure that programs are relevant to the population’s needs
Learning/Team Management/Representation
The main challenges:
New position with communication channels to be established – Two countries with very different humanitarian contexts and programming (protracted crisis in NES – mostly recovery programming in Iraq).
Priorities for the 2/3 first months:
Ensure scale-up of our BHA funded operations (response to strikes in Hassakeh in particular), while engaging in an updated annual plan for 2025 in NES
Complete two complex projects in Iraq by end of 2024 and develop follow-up projects
Engage into a local partnership strategy in NES to be materialized early 2025
YOUR PROFILE
Experience:
1-2 years of experience on a similar position
5 years or more in the humanitarian sector
Specific skills:
Program strategy development
Full Project Cycle Management (Needs’ assessment, Program Development and Monitoring, Budget & Reporting)
Excellent writting skills in English
Experience of working with ECHO, AFD and BHA would be an asset
An experience in development/recovery settings would be appreciated
An experience specifically on WASH, FSL or MEAL would be an asset
