Do you have an interest in large scale IT systems supporting the largest fusion project in the world ? Join our IT Project Systems group within the Central Integration Division, in charge on maintaining many critical engineering specialized software distributed across all members and used daily by thousands of engineers to build ITER.
As IT Engineering Systems Officer at the ITER Organization (IO) you will coordinate all Information Technology (IT) activities to support the administration of various specialized engineering systems composed of large commercial tools (CATIA/ENOVIA V5, DELMIA, 3DX, E3D, AVEVA Diagrams, AutoCAD, SSD/SXP, SPO, SPMAT) and many surrounding IT components in use for development and maintenance work.
Success in this role includes:
- Manages IT engineering systems operations without service interruption and high level of performance;
- Coordinates efficiently the integration of engineering tools within the global IT architecture.
Key Duties, Scope, and Level of Accountability
- Coordinates IT activities and supports the operation, administration of engineering (CAD, PLM and construction) systems;
- Coordinates IT resources involved in the area and interfaces with the other IT teams primarily development, infrastructure, operations and security;
- Manages administrative tasks such as monitoring, access security, automation, logging, job scheduling, performance review, customization deployment, etc.;
- Manages resolution of technical issues, ensuring they are identified, registered, and managed successfully to conclusion following standard IT process for service delivery (ITIL);
- Coordinates major systems upgrade with software integrators and vendors;
- Coordinates troubleshooting of software issues and acts as liaison with vendors to expedite implementation of fixes and updates;
- Coordinates all service management activities (including operations & support processes) for the domain;
- Contributes to software licenses management & optimization for all products in the domain;
- Collaborates with IO/DA Engineering teams and maintains collaboration schemes with all ITER partners;
- This position is on-call based, and crucial to maintaining continuous operations and ensuring the highest level of service for our stakeholders. This requires availability including day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays, depending upon project or team needs.
Experience & Profile
- Demonstrated experience and technical competencies in:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar domain and level of responsibility.
- Essential competencies and experience required for success in the role:
- Strong experience in administrating large IT engineering systems deployed on complex IT infrastructure;
- Experience with Windows / Linux server administration, web application platforms and DevOps methods & tools;
- Experience with coordinating IT experts and interacting with vendors.
- Experience with IT operations including systems monitoring, support, deployment and customization;
- Experience with IT management processes such as capacity management, request management, change management, asset, application and configuration management;
- Collaborate: Ability to facilitate dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders;
- Communicate Effectively: Ability to adjust communication content and style to deliver messages to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment;

Advantageous competencies and experience:
- Experience with administrating Dassault Systems solutions (CATIA/ENOVIA V5, 3DX) and AVEVA (E3D, Diagrams, Engineering);
- Experience with Cloud based deployment and management;
- SQL Server/Oracle database administration experience.
Education:
- Essential: Bachelor degree or equivalent in computing or another IT-relevant field;
- Advantageous: Certifications by software vendors Dassault Systèmes, AVEVA, Microsoft; and in IT service management, project management would be advantageous ;
- The required education degree(s) may be substituted by extensive professional experience involving similar work responsibilities and/or additional training certificates in relevant domains.
Language requirements:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
