PURPOSE
We are seeking the engagement of temporary (40 days) IT systems administration consultant to achieve the onboarding of at least 10 “early adopter” national entities from across the Movement to the Global Tenancy Service before project closure and transfer to business-as-usual operations.
Consultancy start and end date: This is a 40 day, with an expected start of October through to November 2024.
Location: Home based in the UK, with occasional visits to our London office as required.
Deadline for all applications: 10th October 2024
Rate: £400 per day

OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES:
The Global Tenancy Project will deliver an easier way to share content with Amnesty movement colleagues globally. Tenancy Project to deliver a collaboration and communications platform to 71 national Amnesty entities across the world using cutting-edge Microsoft technologies, ensuring equity and security of access to Amnesty data and functionality resources for the whole Amnesty Movement.
The objective of this assignment is to support the onboarding of 10 national offices/entities before the project closure. The consultant will work in parallel with the permanent staff member, operating the predefined processes to onboard national entities.
Specific deliverables will include, but not be limited to:
- Checking local network infrastructure meets minimum security standards.
- Checking proposed end user devices meet minimum security standards .
- Updating automatic account synchronization scripts to support B2B relationships .
- Importing email archives from third party platforms to Exchange On-Line.
- Migrating files to SharePoint libraries.
- Updating DNS records to facilitate onboarding .
- Activating SSO for identified applications .
- Applying group associations and security permissions.
- Account maintenance.
- Updating scripts for reciprocal Calendar and GAL sharing.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in Windows environments at an enterprise level – Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, administration, virtualization, and backup.
- Familiarity with monitoring and operating enterprise network infrastructure – Juniper SRX, Meraki etc.
- Demonstrable experience monitoring and operating enterprise cloud services – ideally Office 365.
- Good knowledge of the following: Microsoft Server (2008/2012/2019), Windows Active Directory and Group Policy administration and desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7/10/11).
- Knowledge of server configuration and standard network operations services including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, Directory Services (including LDAPv3 and Active Directory), SNMP, SMTP, IMAP, HTTPS, synchronization, time, file and print services.
- Ability to manage issues using Service Desk ticketing, configuration management systems (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager – MSCCM) and other systems tools.
- A strong working knowledge of PowerShell is essential.
