ABOUT THE ROLE
The Systems Engineer will report into the ICT and Business Improvement Manager and be responsible for ensuring efficient delivery of ICT services across the organisation. This role will contribute to maintaining, enhancing the technological environment, fostering a secure and innovative infrastructure.
Key accountabilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Perform day-to-day operations across CEHL’s ICT systems, including security, networks, computers, phones, infrastructure, applications and being able to respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot issues and minimising service disruptions.
- Identify technical challenges, conduct root-cause analyses and implement effective solutions to maintain high system performance, reliability and prevent recurring issues.
- Supervise and guide contractors and staff, ensuring alignment with CEHL’s ICT policies and standards by providing mentorship, training to support professional development and build team capacity.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships to ensure services are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard.
- Maintain a security-first approach, safeguarding CEHL’s data and infrastructure against potential threats and ensure compliance with relevant ICT standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with staff members and other departments to provide additional ICT support where needed and contribute to projects and initiatives.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The role will ideally suit an experienced Systems Engineer with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role (prior experience in the Housing Sector is highly regarded).
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco Network Administrator or similar.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of networking practices, the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience in analysing security incidents and managing User Entity & Behaviour Analytics (UEBA) systems.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing the ASD Essential 8 Cybersecurity Framework.
- Experience delivering and providing ongoing support for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and financial solutions.
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
