- Salary breakdown: $72,537.000 – $88,000.00 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging ($15,900.00 + Meal & Entertainment expenses)
- 1 FTE, 12 month contract, hybrid work, Wednesday is required office day (P&C team connect day)

The Role
The Talent Acquisition Officer facilitates the end-to-end talent acquisition process to attract and select talent to effectively meet the staffing needs of the Institute. The role collaborates with hiring managers to advise and recommend TA strategies to achieve the best hiring outcome for the Institute while ensuring policies and procedures are consistently adhered to. Additionally, the position will support the implementation of a range of talent acquisition programs, processes, and initiatives as the Institute continues to evolve and grow.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition processes across multiple directorates, including talent sourcing and pipelining, screening, interviewing, reference checking and raising employment offers
- Proactively consult with managers to understand their unique hiring needs and recommend talent attraction and selection strategies
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess and shortlist the best talent for the Institute
- Encourage the adoption of the Institute’s ways of working through effective communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ensure assigned requisitions and processes are compliant with Black Dog Institute’s talent acquisition policies & procedures
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager, People and Culture Business Partners, and People and Culture Operations to provide information on positions and talent markets to ensure hiring objectives are met on time, within budget, and to required KPI’s
- Maintain hiring manager and candidate relationships to ensure a consistent positive hiring experience • Maintain high levels of confidentially of information for candidates, employees, managers and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain data integrity and compliance by ensuring all talent acquisition systems are updated regularly and information is stored correctly • Support Talent Acquisition Manager to execute any TA strategies and activities.
Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position either in agency or internal
- Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve the best hiring outcomes
- Proven time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Exposure to HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and maintain integrity when dealing with sensitive information
