Positioning and reporting  

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports directly to the Head of the Human Resources Unit. He/she works in close collaboration with members of the HR Unit to identify, attract, and engage high-calibre talent worldwide. The incumbent collaborates with the Organisation’s operational managers to ensure that recruitment activities are aligned with strategic priorities and workforce planning needs.

In the context of expanding activities and in line with WOAH’s strategic objectives, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in strengthening the Organisation’s employer brand and its positioning as an employer of choice. He/she is responsible for implementing effective, high-quality recruitment solutions, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience, and contributing to the development of sustainable talent pipelines to meet both current and future requirements.

Missions and activities  

Full Recruitment Lifecycle
– Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned positions, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies on internal and external platforms, screening applications, shortlisting candidates, conducting preliminary interviews, coordinating interviews with operational managers, organising technical assessments, preparing interview reports, and conducting reference checks.
– Maintain accurate recruitment records and metrics in the HR information system.
– Provide regular updates to operational managers on recruitment progress.

Talent Sourcing and Pipeline
– Development Proactively identify, attract, and engage passive candidates using innovative sourcing strategies.
– Build and maintain talent pools to meet future staffing needs, ensuring rapid availability for critical positions.
– Contribute to employer branding initiatives to strengthen WOAH’s visibility and attractiveness in the international labour market.

Collaboration and Support
– Ensure alignment between recruitment strategies, workforce planning, and internal mobility.
– Provide temporary support to other HR functions during peak periods or on specific projects.

Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Head of the HR Unit within his/her area of expertise.

Expériences / Formation

Qualifications and Experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
– At least three years of hands-on experience in sourcing, shortlisting, and candidate selection, ideally in volume or specialised recruitment.
– Proven experience in an international or multicultural and dynamic environment.Previous experience in an international organisation.
– Knowledge of HR information systems and digital recruitment platforms.

– Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
– Rigour and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
– In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices, including candidate experience optimisation.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaborative tools (Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
– Excellent command of both English and French, spoken and written; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.

Salaire

Working conditions

– Salary: based on qualifications and experience.
– Contract type: WOAH Staff – Fixed-term contract.
– Duration: Two (2) years, renewable.
Location: WOAH Headquarters, 12 rue de Prony, 75017 Paris, France.

Full-time position based in Paris headquarters, requiring long hours seated at a computer. May involve international travel.
