Talent Development Coordinator, L&OD
Human Resources & Institutional Equity
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
Designs, develops, and delivers strategic employee learning and development and recognition programs including, but not limited to, management and leadership development, new hire orientation, onboarding, career development and employee recognition through various modalities including presentations to large or small groups, e-learning and interactive sessions. The role requires a strategic approach to ensure that these programs align with the organization’s goals and objectives, contributing to a vibrant, learning-oriented, and appreciative work environment. Responsible for the coordination and management of the Learning Management System (LMS). Some evening and weekend commitments may be required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and web applications. Knowledge of VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data sorting and filtering and creating charts and graphs.
• Demonstrated experience presenting to small and large groups in a complex and highly diverse workplace.
• Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, shifting between multiple priorities and tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Adaptability to learn new software: open and adaptable to learning and working with other software applications that might be used in the organization.
• Data management and reporting: ability to manage data efficiently, create meaningful reports, and analyze data to support decision-making processes.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems, demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making, and follow through on commitments to achieve or exceed promised deliverables.
• Ability to establish priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with others, serving as a positive, contributing member of the OHRIE team; and subscribing and adhering to the vision, mission, and values of the OHRIE and of Tulane University.
Required Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or GED and three years of relevant experience in program coordination, event management, and/or hospitality.
OR
• Bachelor’s Degree and one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience with program coordination and program/event management
• Experience with college/university employee engagement programs for faculty and staff
• Basic proficiency in graphic design principles, with an ability to discern visual appeal, though formal experience with graphic design software is not required.
