We are looking for a Tax Manager to join Aliaxis’ global HQ in Brussels and participate in the development of an integrated Group tax function and strategy.

The role will manage the preparation and filing of the corporate tax and transfer pricing obligations for Aliaxis’ corporate and local holding companies and provides ad hoc support on other tax advisory matters.

Our ideal candidate can count on relevant international corporate tax compliance experience, ideally gained in a multinational company or a consultancy firm. Outstanding communication skills in English with ability to navigate in a truly global environment are a must.

Job description

The Tax Manager participates in the development of an integrated Group tax function and an efficient Group tax strategy.

He or she manages and facilitates the correct and timely preparation and filing of the corporate tax and transfer pricing obligations within the Group and provides ad hoc support on other tax advisory or planning matters.

Concretely, it includes the following responsibilities

For Aliaxis’ corporate and local holding companies:

• Review tax returns and ensure that other tax requirements are met (withholding tax returns for interest, fees, dividends, etc.);
• Assist local accountants in obtaining the necessary withholding tax reduction/exemption.

For Aliaxis Group:

• Prepare and file the transfer pricing formalities and provide ad-hoc assistance to the local teams with their local transfer pricing compliance;
• Monitor the correct implementation of the Transfer Pricing Policies of the companies (goods, services, and financing);
• Implement and handle the minimum tax calculation (Pillar 2) and the relevant compliance obligations;
• Support Tax reporting process (IFRS tax accounting, quarterly/annual tax reporting in support of the Group consolidation and the annual report, annual effective tax rate…);
• Support the development and implementation of the Aliaxis Tax Control framework;
• The role reports to Aliaxis’ Group VP Tax and is based in our global HQ in Brussels.

Requirements

• The role is the ideal next step for a tax professional having gained a first few years of experience in international and Belgian corporate tax management, and willing to grow at a global level in a Belgian organization with an ambitious plan for Growth with Purpose;
• Master’s degree in law, Economics, Business Administration or any another relevant domain. A complementary master’s in taxation is a plus;
• Min 3 years Experience in international corporate tax management (in a consulting firm, or a global company);
• Excellent knowledge of Belgian and international corporate tax returns (withholding tax returns for interest, fees, dividends);
• Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and experience with related formalities (goods, services, financing);
• Experience with IFRS tax accounting is a plus;
• Proficiency with Excel. Knowledge of Cognos is a plus;
• Fluent English, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders in a global environment;
• Desire to learn and develop into the role.
