Role Purpose:

To provide high quality administrative support for English courses to ensure operations run smoothly and to the highest standards.

To assist with the promotion of English courses, including efficient and professional running of events.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:

General Administrative Support

  • Setting up and maintaining the teaching and other systems related to TCs operations.
  • Providing data of monthly teaching hours.
  • Assisting with pre and post term arrangements for both onsite and offsite teaching
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding the delivery of course materials and publications before terms start.
  • Providing administrative support for open days, promotional events, and other events related to TC.
  • Organising staff wall in Teaching Centre.
  • Keeping stock records of stationery, notebooks, folders and other Teaching Centre resources.
  • Maintain teaching, YLSA schedule, arrange the covers, term schedule and file management.
  • Taking teachers emergency cover phone and contacting cover teachers when it is necessary.
  • Assisting IT to resolve onsite and offsite issues.
  • Working across teaching centres in Yangon, Myanmar.
  • Provide effective and efficient assistance with back office administrative services including:
  • Liaising with onsite and offset teams to ensure office and teaching facilities meet the required standards for operations.
  • Ensuring all equipment is in working order, reporting faults to the respective team members.
  • Checking all Teaching Centre classrooms equipment (computer, TV, furniture etc.,) is in working order and recording checks and/or faults in a spread sheet.
  • Checking photocopier, printers and stock of paper daily/ and calling technical services if required.
  • Providing timely photocopying, collating, book binding and laminating services, as required.
  • Assisting in preparing and distributing teaching materials to teachers and notebooks to student.

Health and Safety and Security

  • Ensure that the office and all classrooms are maintained in line with TQS Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensuring the safety of the teachers and students before and after the class.
  • Being familiar with emergency procedures, including accident of sudden illness of teachers and where possible providing appropriate first aid.
  • Ensuring common areas such as corridors, stairways and fire escape routes are clear and unobstructed.
  • Ensuring classrooms are ready for use, for example, checking rooms are clean and tidy and equipment is in working order, corridors and fire escape routes are kept clear and accessible.
  • If practical, carrying out basic repairs and/or promptly reporting classroom and equipment problems to appropriate staff members; all classrooms ready for use, dangerous and broken furniture removed.

Other:

  • Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Role specific knowledge and experience:

Essential

  • Experience in a customer focused environment.

Pay Band: Grade J

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract, 2 years (Subject to renewal)

Location: Yangon

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have the right to live and work in the country in which the role is based.
  • Undergraduate degree in any field
