About our Organisation

Soil Association Exchange is a new service for all UK farmers to help them farm in a way
that improves the climate and protects nature and enhances their profitability. SA Exchange
works with farmers to measure the environmental impact and provides advice and financial
incentives on how the farm can improve.

Soil Association Exchange is a fast-paced, commercial startup that spun out of the Soil
Association charity in 2022. Exchange is already working with hundreds of farmers and
businesses including M&S, Sainsburys, Lloyds Banking Group and Riverford.

About the Opportunity

You will be providing administrative support to the CEO and Exchange team to help ensure the
smooth running of the organisation. This will include:

  • Maintaining the Chief Executive’s diary, including arranging and organising meetings
    (internally and externally)
  • Organising monthly Board of Directors meetings, including preparing agendas, administering
    supporting documents, arranging travel, and taking minutes for transcription and circulation
    when required.
  • Providing administrative support to the wider Exchange team, arranging team meetings and
    minuting key meetings
  • Helping organise logistics for key meetings and events, preparing agendas, administering
    supporting documents, and taking minutes for transcription and circulation when required.
  • Providing financial administrative support including managing, submitting invoices and
    purchase orders and keeping records up to date

About You

You will be:

  • Very organised.
  • A true self-starter who loves grasping a problem and then figuring out how to solve it.
  • Someone who can work under pressure and can be depended on.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Possess excellent relationship and partnership building skills.
  • Have an interest in harnessing own skills and talents for a ‘bigger purpose’ around
    climate, nature, and health.
  • Demonstrate an open, sharing mentality – ‘for the benefit of all’
