About the role

We have a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced education professional to join our training team. This collaborative, welcoming and energetic team provide face to face and online learning to ensure people have the skills and knowledge for their jobs and their development goals.

The Team Leader, Course Development is a busy and varied role, working across an interesting portfolio of courses. The Team Leader is hands on with review and development and also coordinates a small development team. The Team Leader collaborates with Facilitators and Subject Matter Experts to ensure our training products and assessments are relevant, up to date and engaging (and compliant!).
Along with our non-accredited courses, we are currently working on updates for our Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Disability Support and Certificate IV in Leadership and Management programs.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

  • Contributing to and coordinating the review, development and launch of training products
  • Leading a small team of course developers, to meet our review and development goals
  • Reviewing learning and assessment materials and identify opportunities for improvement and compliance
  • Coordinating the validation plan and lead our validation process to ensure we meet our validation requirements
  • Providing support and guidance to Course Developers and facilitators, as they develop training products
  • Collaborating with Subject Matter experts to review and update courses
  • Coaching and mentoring of team members

About you:

  • TAE40110+2, TAE40116 or TAE40122 (must have)
  • Passion for quality training and assessment
  • Strong experience with developing learning materials and assessments for Vocational Education and Training – high level literacy skills
  • A strong understanding of quality and compliance for VET learning materials and Assessment
  • Adaptable and able to coordinate development tasks across Nationally Recognised Training and non-accredited courses
  • Confident in coordinating a small team to achieve review and development goals
  • Experience working in Disability and Community Services highly regarded
  • Experience developing assessments for Certificate or Diploma Leadership and Development highly regarded
