About the Role
This is a full-time fixed term role from August to the end of the season (early June). This role is based in Johanna and reports to our Regional Experience Manager. As the Team Leader you are responsible for ensuring the smooth walk operations and thereby the ultimate guest experience throughout the walker season.
This will be through coordination of logistics and delivery of walk operations, the management of safe systems and procedures, food and guest service standards, Guide training & support and maintenance of the lodges and associated assets.
What you will bring
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the area and its ecosystem, helping to share with the guests our world of spectacular coastal trails of the Great Ocean Walk and the Great Otway National Park.
We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Team Leader with strong leadership skills. You will be adaptive, flexible and possess the ability to problem solve in order to achieve operational success. In addition, you will have:
- Minimum of 2 years in a management or team leader role preferably in a tourism venture
- Experience in the eco-tourism industry – preferably in an operational role
- 2+ years hospitality experience and a passion for preparing and cooking delicious food
- Wilderness First Aid (SISSS00126)
- Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021)
- Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (SITXFSA005)
- Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices (SITXFS006)
