About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team of landscape and biodiversity experts
within a broad Environment & Heritage Team. With environmental issues front and centre at
Oxfordshire County Council and with changes in duties around biodiversity and nature recovery,
this role will have a real impact on natural capital in Oxfordshire.

The team are responsible for developing environmental strategies, supporting the Planning
process and working in partnership with a network of organisations across the county. You will
be the professional lead for the team, able to represent the county council at local and
national events.

About you

We are looking for an inspirational professional with expertise in aspects of the remit of the
role including biodiversity, landscape, green infrastructure and natural capital who is able to
support and develop the team to contribute to the key strategic objectives for the Council.
