Program Overview

The Men’s Behaviour Change Program sits within the Mental Health, Family Violence, Community & Families directorate at DPV Health.

The Program aims are to:

  • provide evidence-based group-based change management programs to ensure the safety of women and children
  • provides direct support to women and children relative to the men in the group
  • provides short to medium term case management

About the opportunity

This Team Leader role is a leadership position that provides operational and clinical management, leadership, support and delivery of the intake, assessment, family safety contact, group and case management. You will support and enable your direct reports to deliver a high-quality service for their consumers to reach their individual potential.

The Team Leader will lead by example to provide day to day coaching, clinical leadership, support, and direction to foster and develop a strong, engaged, and effective team. The position will collaborate across relevant functions of the organization to optimize clinical and business outcomes within a growth, developmental and future orientated environment. The position will require supporting delivery of exceptional evidence-based, cost effective, innovative, and efficient care to DPV Health consumers in line with the organizational, strategic and program business plans.

To be successful for this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work;
  • Demonstrated experience in providing clinical and line supervision to staff within the community sector in a family violence related area;
  • Well-developed skills in providing advice and direction for staff and students on complex matters including, crisis intervention, comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning, timely and considered decision making, and planning to respond to clients’ needs
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and workforce retention strategies, performance management and professional development strategies;
  • Ability to model positive, flexible, and dynamic skills to support and develop a team of workers to inspire vision, direction, and professional conduct.;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster harmonious and collaborative relationships internally and with external stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated resilience and aptitude in working with complex and important matters, sound judgement and ability to prioritise competing demands.

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), an international residency statutory declaration hold a valid WWCC.
  • Full driver license and travel between sites required.
