About the role
The Team Leader Men’s Programs is responsible for the leadership and delivery of the MBCP, YBC and Men’s Court Support Programs. This position has a particular focus on leading and supervising program staff, applying professional knowledge and support, supporting quality practice delivery and continuous improvement. A key aspect of the role is ensuring a collaborative and integrated approach with associated women’s support services and other CCNT services to mitigate risk and keep those using violence in view. Program portfolios may be subject to change within the contract period.
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Welfare Studies or Men’s Family Violence with substantial experience in a similar role.
- Significant experience in relevant practice and team leadership, including facilitating men’s behaviour change groups and development of programs.
- An understanding of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Theory (ACT) and/or willingness to work within an ACT framework.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DFV response frameworks, risk assessment and safety.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills encompassing report writing, case note writing and supervision and the ability to communicate effectively with managers, staff and stakeholders across a range of diverse cultural groups and settings.
- Experience in recording and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data in line with program requirements and leading a team to do the same.
- Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people.
