The USAID’s Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh project is working to establish a dynamic, strategic, and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh’s fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage vision and focused on defined priority areas  increased TB detection, improving access to TB care, prevention, and others.
The Technical Assistant will report to the Project Research Physician. The position holder will be responsible for enrolling participants from portable X-ray camps at different upazilas of the Rajshahi Division. S/he will be involved in:
  • Understand study objectives;
  • Obtain written consent from the participants;
  • Collect relevant data using TAB;
  • Receive collected sputum samples from the participants;
  • Send the sputum samples to Dhaka- icddr,b by courier service;
  • Collect blood samples, and ensure blood sample transportation to the TBSTC of Rajshahi district;
  • Follow-up of the enrolled participants. 
Required qualification and experience:
  • HSC pass or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience; candidates having experience working in the TB field will be given preference;
  • Medical technology background or experience in blood sample collection would be an added advantage.
