Lightbody is the UK’s largest supplier of celebration cakes to UK retailers, with Disney, Mars, Universal and Thorntons all within the portfolio of branded cakes made under licence. At Finsbury Food Group, we are passionate about investing in our teams, creating great development opportunities.As a Compliance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and technical support to the Technical Department. You will ensure that all inputs and outputs, including reports and data sets, align with our site strategy, statutory obligations, customer requirements, and company policies related to food safety and due diligence.This is what you’ll actually do!Your role will involve managing the QADEX/Ideagen system to respond promptly to customer complaints, generate ad hoc reports, log supplier non-conformances, and identify any emerging trends or significant issues. You will also forward relevant customer complaints timely to the technical customer services team for resolution.Maintaining all documentation within the Quality Management System is another critical aspect of your role. This includes managing the Quality Manual, factory record sheets, and NPD documentation. You will oversee document changes, ensure compliance with control standards, and add new products to testing and monitoring schedules.Reporting will be a significant part of your role as you create technical and customer KPI reports, audit findings, and business information packs. You will also collate and file certificates of analysis from suppliers, ensuring they are easily accessible during audits.Also, you will coordinate shelf-life data collection and traceability processes, log microbiological and chemistry samples on laboratory portals, and address any out-of-specifications through the appropriate site processes. You will prepare for audits and visits, arranging all necessary logistics.Ideally this is you!
- Previous experience in a technical role within food manufacturing (preferred).
- Strong PC skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
- A proactive mindset and ownership of tasks through to completion.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and company standards
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify trends and propose solutions.
