Under overall guidance from the ISU Director, MOSD Assistant Secretary General for Development and governorates Affaires and UNICEF team, the Technical Coordinator contributes to the management, coordination, and reporting functions of the ISU, coordinates the activities of the Unit, and gives direct support to the strategy’s technical committees. The Technical Coordinator will act as a liaison between UNICEF, the ISU Director, the MOSD Assistant Secretary General for Development and governorates Affaires, and committees supporting the implementation of the strategy. S/he will manage the work of the technical team and provide day-to-day support to the overall activities of the ISU.
The Technical Coordinator will also be responsible for facilitating the process of updating the NSPS for 2026 – 2033, including the organization of preparatory meetings with key stakeholders to identify the way forward, assisting in documenting meeting minutes and outputs, and liaising with the teams responsible for data collection and analysis.

- Education: A Master’s degree or greater in a relevant field such as applied social sciences, development studies, or public policy. A first university degree with two years of additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of advanced university degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility in management or in coordinating technical and development programming, preferably in the social protection or social development sectors.
- Direct experience in working with the Government of Jordan on policy dialogue and supporting the implementation of the projects/program activities.
- Technical expertise in Social Protection and any relevant field such as development, economics, and public finance.
- Strong leadership, communications, teamwork, mentoring, and management skills proved in prior assignments.
- Demonstrated abilities in program/project results monitoring and reporting.
- Experience and demonstrated capacity for writing high-level documents, concept papers, and policy notes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required for high level engagement with government departments and other stakeholders.
Languages:
- Excellent English and Arabic verbal, writing, and editing skills.
