The Opportunity

The post holder will report to USAID WWA Activity Technical lead. S/He is responsible to prepare and develop annual/quarter work plans and reports of the project. S/He establishes and nurture strong partnership with local government partners, Community level structures, IP partners such as MIP Companies, IPDC & EIC, and other key stakeholders including the private sector partners. Lead and coordinate the team under him/her for highest performance. Main components of the position are: design, implement and reporting of project activities as per the agreed standards and quality. Partnership management and networking of key government, community as well as Industrial Park stakeholders of the project is also the responsibility of the Technical Coordinator. USAID WWA expects that the incumbent has a good mix of sound project management and Technical competence in the areas of enterprise development, gender, SRHR, access to finance, and private sector engagement.

The Individual

  • Master’s or First degree in Social science, Business Management, Economics, Development Studies or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years with relevant field experience in managing projects, Marker Systems (M4P), labour market- and preferably sound understanding of the Industrial parks & their partnership contexts.
  • Experience in managing people as this position has predominantly a managerial role
  • Experience in working in USAID funded project/s;

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

  • Understand and put into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC).
  • Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
  • Ensure that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
