Location: Based in Dhading with frequent travel to Rautahat, Sarlahi and Kathmandu

The Role:

 

Technical Coordinator – Business development and private sector engagement, comes under the program team. The position is responsible for proper implementation of projects by partners, incorporating policy influence and feminist principles, and contributing to portfolio development.

 

What we are looking for:

 

The responsibility of the Technical Coordinator – Business development and Private sector engagement is to support Project Manager in managing the project, facilitate project implementation by supporting local partners, support in budget planning, and facilitate project achievements with a given partner/for specific outputs/ district/partner.

  • Master’s degree in, Marketing, Business, Journalism, social works or other relevant fields with 2 years’ experience/bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in enterprise development, documentation, and strong coordination and convincing capacity or/ similar position in private sector.
  • Experience on coordination with private companies, and prior experience on working with them.
  • Understanding of how private sector works and how they think about business is important.
  • Soft understanding of the data and able to make decision based on the analysis done by MEAL.
  • Experience and demonstrable skills in financial reporting/ management and projection; business planning and reviewing financial performance.
  • Strong convincing capacity on business ideas with private sector.
  • Expertise in documenting FGDs, project process, and have experience of generating voices, case studies.
  • Expertise in transcribing and translating audio/video records,
  • Demonstrable communication, facilitation and representation skills in English and Nepali, along with skill of transcribing/translating.
  • Clear understanding of market analysis, role of private sectors, and value chain promotion.
  • Experience of partnership development, nurturing and management and alliance building and maintenance across actors and sectors
  • Willing to travel in country on an average 40% of the time.
  • Sound understanding on government policies on cooperative and micro-finance sectors.
  • An ability and willingness to work towards deadlines, in a planned and inclusive way.
