Davies Group is currently looking to recruit a Technical Manager to join our Property Field Team, reporting to the Technical Buildings Director – Property Field. The role is a significant position in the business and includes the management and oversight of the Technical Team. The role will have 2 direct reports who provide oversight and leadership of Quality Assurance, Technical Claim Reviews, Building Pathology training and guidance, scoping accuracy and training and more general technical support across the division.You will need to come to us with a strong management background, ideally with a background in leading a diverse team, either directly or via a management team. You must have a strong property insurance background with a proven track record of technical claims management, training, and development.Duties, Responsibilities & Key Measures:

  • Management of the Technical Team
  • Responsibility for driving and maintaining technical service delivery across the division.
  • Guiding and supporting your teams to achieve, using a ‘one team’ approach.
  • Ensure customer delivery and client service adherence of the highest standards.
  • Support in interviews across the division from a technical perspective.
  • Hold team meetings, as a minimum monthly, ideally weekly.
  • Produce quality assurance packs monthly, focused on high risk/high focus areas for the Property Field division and act as a leader in driving delivery.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support in external audits.
  • Interaction with our clients to maintain and further develop existing relationships.
  • Input into tender production and responses for the divisions.
  • Understand and effectively implement company systems and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, to the highest standards, internally and externally.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and service excellence.

Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership, with an ethos of ownership and accountability.
  • High level of previous experience in the Property Claims sector – minimum of 10 years.
  • Management experience essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written ability.
  • Proven track record of driving service excellence through quality assurance output.
  • Process driven, with a high focus on customer and client delivery.
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Accustomed to working under pressure in a fast pace, demanding environment.
