Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Technical Sales Manager to join our Speciality Chemicals business area. This role requires a strong new business approach, combined with a technical understanding of plastics.

• Develop strategic sales plans to increase sales across new and existing customers.
• Working closely with our speciality partner to further enhance our relationship.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key clients.
• Identify and pursue potential new business opportunities.
• Work closely with the team to ensure excellent customer service levels are met.
• Provide technical support to customers in conjunction with our manufacturing partners.
• Conduct market research to understand competitor activity and industry trends.
• Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.

A successful Technical Sales Manager should have:

• A degree in a science based subject, however relevant industry experience will also be considered
• A proven track record of over achieving sales targets.
• Strong technical background working with speciality chemicals, ideally within the plastics sector would be highly advantageous.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
