Chemonics International seeks candidates for full-time Technical Team Leads for an upcoming USAID-funded project focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency in Palestine. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
We are seeking senior-level technical experts in the following areas:
- Utilities Management (Energy)
- Power Distribution Systems (Grids)
- Clean/Renewable Energy Engineering
- Energy Efficiency and Demand-side Management
Qualifications sought include:
- At least a bachelor’s degree or license in a relevant field, master’s preferred;
- At least seven (7) years of professional experience of increasing responsibility;
- Five (5) years of management/supervisory experience;
- Experience implementing energy efficiency measures, managing utilities and power distribution systems, and/or developing renewable energy solutions (solar, wind, etc.);
- In-depth knowledge of the Palestinian energy sector, familiarity with the regulatory environment a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships with the private sector, government officials, NGOs/grantees, local media, and other donors in the Middle East and/or North Africa region;
- Experience working with USAID preferred;
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated adaptive leadership skills, versatility, and integrity;
- Fluency in Arabic is required, professional proficiency in English preferred.
