Position Summary: 

The Telemetry Monitor Technician monitors and accurately interprets cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment.  Provides continuous observation and identifies basic arrhythmias.  Provides prompt notification of changes/issues or dysrhythmia to the RN or Physician as they occur.  Troubleshoots false alarms and system /equipment issues.  Documents values and mounts rhythm strips according to unit standards.  Also provides continuous observation of the patients who are being monitored during special procedures.

Salary Range: 

 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $26.11                   Midpoint   $29.30                   Maximum $32.49

 

Required Qualifications:

Minimum one year experience monitoring cardiac activity

Electrocardiography (ECG) Certification by time of hire

Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and holidays

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support(Required)
