The Global Learning Centre (GLC) was established as part of the GSSC to develop and deliver training for UNICEF staff globally.

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF GSSC is seeking an HR Assistant (Curriculum Developer) to design and develop both online e-learning and face-to-face curriculum using a variety of development tools. The position reports to the Human Resources Specialist (Learning and Development), who is at the NOC level.

This is a Temporary Appointment (TA) for 364 days.

This will involve:

  1. Work with Developers and Senior Developers
  2. Assist the development of training programmes
  3. Use of latest methods and technology to develop innovative learning outputs

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education (i.e. high school diploma) is required, preferably supplemented by university courses in either Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration or any other relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in Curriculum Design and/or e-learning development is required. (A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted as 4 years experience and will be counted work experience requirements.)
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required
  • Instructional design and / or video editing experience is required
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, etc. is desirable
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems is desirable
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro and InDesign is an asset
  • Experience with HTML/CSS coding is an asset
  • Experience with software such as SharePoint, knowledge or integrated management information systems is an asset
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required
  • Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish), or the local language of the duty station, is considered an asset

UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
