How can you make a difference?

UNICEF GSSC is looking for a talent who is passionate in developing and ensuring timely updates and maintenance of the knowledge base for the Recruitment Administrative Services (RAS) Stream and their counterparts in client offices. The new Recruitment Hub will support the implementation of recruitment services for all categories of staff globally.

This is a Temporary Appointment (TA) for 364 days.

 This will involve:

  1. Work with key stakeholders to capture knowledge
  2. Development and maintaining of knowledge products
  3. Share knowledge products

Education:

Completion of secondary education (high school diploma) is a minimum requirement, supplemented by technical or university courses such Knowledge or Information management, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, or any other relevant field is an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in in knowledge management, technical writing, curriculum design or other related fields A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted as 4 years’ experience and will be counted work experience requirements (for fully completed degrees only).
  • Experience in Knowledge platform management (e.g. ServiceNow, SharePoint) is an asset.

Language:

  • Fluency in both spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.

Remarks:

General Service (GS) staff are locally recruited staff and therefore, candidates are personally responsible for any travel and accommodation arrangements. UNICEF does not facilitate MFA accreditation for locally recruited staff. 

Applicants must be nationals of EU countries or in possession of a valid work permit. Please attach a copy of your work permit to your application submission.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions.  Appointments are also subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
