How can you make a difference?
Join UNICEF Global Shared Service Center (GSSC)`s Business Innovation and Support section and play a vital role in supporting its Power Platform and Azure development related activities, as well as contribute to various exciting GSSC projects. The main responsibility will be to provide crucial support to ITSM and HRSD modules, ensuring the effective execution of these key components.
This is a temporary appointment for an initial period of 364 days. It is a great opportunity for career development in a fast-paced, multicultural context and for taking the first step towards an international career as part of the UN family.
Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:
- Maintenance, development and optimization of the existing SharePoint systems.
- Participate in the development of ongoing SharePoint Projects.
- Application of integration solutions for data integration for new projects under BIS.
- Build solutions to follow MS SharePoint evolution (from 2013 WFs and custom pages toward to Modern, Power Automate, PowerApps customization, Azure Logic Apps).
- Prepare the required technical documentation.
- Scaling up of SharePoint solutions.
- Use of backup and restore procedures to make possible a sustainable development policy for Sharepoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Participate in the road map activities in the assessment of emerging technologies and contribute ideas and develop solutions to improve utilization of SAP and other systems currently being used such as ServiceNow, Power Apps, AAD, etc…

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Completion of secondary education (high school diploma) is a minimum requirement. University degree in Business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field is desirable.
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in programming in PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Logic Apps is required. A completed first level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) from an accredited institution will be considered as 3 years’ work experience (for fully completed degrees only).
- Strong skills in VB, SQL and PowerShell is required.
- Experience in integrating with other third-party systems and applications is required. Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services is required.
- Experience in understanding the identified gaps and provide solution(s), translate it to technical efforts and estimate the work for the same is desirable.
- Experience in writing technical specifications is desirable.
- Experience in conducting code reviews and ensuring quality of development is desirable.
- Experience in testing procedures and protocol is desirable.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform is an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment, excellent management and interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude are required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
- Internal applicants (holders of fixed-term, continuing contracts) from the GSSC are required to complete their Learning Paths corresponding to their current levels before applying for other positions.
