FEED the Children Malawi is looking to engage the following open temporary position in Lilongwe. The temporary position will be for a duration of two – three week intervals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in orientation trainings for research assistants
  • Pre-test data collection tools in selected facilities
  • Select participants for key informant interviews and focus group discussions on accordance to the eligibility criteria stipulated in the protocol
  • Conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions on selected facilities
  • Transcribe the interview recordings into verbatim transcripts
  • Update the study team on the process of qualitative data collection during debrief meetings
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Field Supervisor

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in statistics, social sciences, economics, public health, or a related field.
  • Training in qualitative research methodologies, survey design, or data collection techniques is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of qualitative research and statistical principles.
  • Knowledge of survey sampling methods and techniques would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
