Tenant Participation Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Sustainable Communities team for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. This role is flexible for full-time OR part-time hours.

The Tenant Participation Officer (TPO) is responsible for the creation and facilitation of tenant participation events and programs. These initiatives have the purpose of providing tenants with the opportunity to provide feedback to support continuous improvement and development of services that improve community wellbeing.

As a TPO, you’ll also be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Customers and Communities business plan and related activities that support tenant participation.
  • Developing and implementing initiatives, programs and events that enhance tenant engagement, encourage feedback and maximise tenant participation.
  • Continuously growing tenant engagement through the ongoing facilitation and professional governance of the Tenant Advisory Group and other mediums.
  • Coordinating tenant feedback systems and assisting the Sustainable Communities Manager prepare reports on results to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and distribute communication and promotional material to promote community and tenant events
  • Keeping up to date with research and sector knowledge around innovative and best practice methods in social inclusion, engagement and participation.
  • Work closely with the Housing teams to ensure a collaborative and sustainable approach to tenant participation.
  • Assist Bridge Housing to enhance our reputation and extend our relationships by: Participating in networks and partnerships, attending industry forums and being an active member of the community-housing sector.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a passion for quality customer service and community engagement
  • You have experience in coordinating events and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You have a good knowledge or interest in housing, homelessness or other social services
  • You have a high attention to detail with strong technical skills (strong proficiency in Microsoft Office necessary)
  • You work well towards time-orientated deadlines

Our Tenant Participation Officers need to hold a valid drivers licence. They also need to be willing to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
