Tenure-track Faculty Positions in Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics, and Related Interdisciplinary Areas

Instituto de Ciencias Nucleares (ICN) at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions (Investigador Asociado C) in Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics, and related interdisciplinary areas.  We seek outstanding candidates with expertise in one or more of the following research areas within the following departments:

• Radiation Chemistry and Radiochemistry: Chemical processes involving radiation, including theoretical studies, materials applications, prebiotic chemistry, and catalysis.
• Matter Structure: Physics of matter at all scales, encompassing nuclear and hadronic physics, condensed matter, quantum information, optics, and complex systems.
• Plasma Physics and Radiation-Matter Interaction: Plasma physics, astrophysics, astrobiology, and the interaction of radiation with matter, including applications to nuclear fusion.
• Gravitation and Field Theory: Fundamental physics, classical and quantum gravitation, cosmology, particle physics, quantum field theory, and related mathematical physics.

Applications are also encouraged from candidates specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science applied to any of these research areas.
