TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) FOR EVENT MODERATOR: AGRIFI PROJECT CLOSEOUT EVENT

The Micro-Enterprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT), established in 2002, is a leading organization dedicated to fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Kenya. MESPT provides integrated business solutions, championing sustainable development with a focus on agriculture, finance, and renewable energy.

The AgriFI Programme is an EU-funded agricultural financing initiative designed to increase agricultural yields, establish sustainable supply chains for farmers, and enhance food security. This aligns with Kenya’s Big Four Agenda and Vision 2030. The program prioritizes food safety (Sanitary and Phyto-sanitary Standards) and plant and animal health, addressing concerns for both domestic and international markets.

AgriFI operates under a delegated cooperation arrangement between the EU and the Royal Danish Embassy, with MESPT as the implementing partner. MESPT was entrusted with this role due to its proven expertise through the Green Growth and Employment Programme and the Strategic Sector Cooperation initiative on food safety, which share a similar focus.

Over its implementation period, the AgriFI project has significantly contributed to sustainable agricultural practices and value chain development in Kenya.
