If so MAFI could be the organisation for you*We would also consider someone based in Europe*ResponsibilitiesAs a Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, implementing, and executing effective testing strategies. You will be working with the IT team as well as product owners, and product managers. Therefore, we need a candidate who has initiative, quality critical thinking skills and developed communication skills, as you will be working with a global and multi-cultural workforce and flexibility in approach and communication is crucial.The role consists of collaborating with the product owner and development team to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities. Translating requirements into test cases/ test scripts. Executing both manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, stability, consistency, and usability of software applications.The aim of the role is to ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and user satisfaction for MAF customers. So, we need someone who has initiative to suggest improvements and strive to deliver high quality work.The Support requirement for this job includes being the subject matter expert for business applications, addressing issues, change requests and troubleshooting. You will assist in resolving problem management issues related to business application. Therefore, being organised is key to balance both positions.There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian. The post holder will be expected to lead and take part in prayer and biblical reflection and to be a role model for the organisation in accordance with our Christian beliefs and standards in the work place.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Good written and verbal communication requires
- Developing Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Cases in a software development environment including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Knowledge of using automates tools and frameworks such as Selenium, ~Cyprus and Postman
- Use of accompanying tools including Jira, GIT and Bitbucket beneficial
- Strong understanding of agile, principles, practices, and methodologies
- Proficiency testing and web-based applications, Rest APIs, and mobile applications
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tool
- Ability to problem solve and lead discussion as well as analytical thinking
Desirable
- Degree level qualification or 5 or more years’ experience
- ISTQB, TMAP or equivalent certification
