Fuyao University of Science and Technology(福耀科技大学, FYUST) is a research-oriented university founded by Mr.Cao Dewang, Chairman of the Fuyao Glass Industry Group, and jointly organized by the Heren Charity Foundation (河仁慈善基金会) and the Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government. It is a government-supported and privately funded, non-profit, and public welfare university. The Fuzhou Fuyao Institute for Advanced Study (福州市福耀高等研究院) , serving as the organizing representative of FYUST, is carrying out the preparatory works of the university.

 

The FYUST is positioned as a “small but elite, high-level, and international” research-oriented university specializing in science and engineering. It plans to offer both undergraduate and graduate education, guided by its motto, “Respect for Law and Nature, Love for People, and Strive for Perfection (敬天爱人,止于至善)”. The university is committed to being rooted in Fujian, grounded in China, oriented towards the world, and focused on the future. This recruitment covers 7 departments including the 6 Schools and the Faculty of Fundamental Disciplines.

  1. Positions

We seek teaching and researching talents for:

·School of Materials Science and Engineering (discipline: Material Science And Engineering)

Automotive and Transportation Engineering(discipline:Transportation Engineering,Vehicle Engineering)

·School of Computer Science and Engineering (discipline: omputer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Cyberspace Security,Artificial Intelligence)

·School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation(discipline:Mechanical Engineering,Control Science And Engineering)

School of Health Sciences(discipline:Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology,Integrated Science)

·School of Digital Economy and Management(discipline:Digital Economy,Industrial Engineering)

Faculty of Fundamental Disciplines(discipline:Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Foreign Languages and Literature (English), Marxist Theory, Philosophy,Physical Education)

 

  1. Basic Requirements
  1. Adhere to laws and regulations, and have a passion for the education; demonstrate excellent professional ethics, maintain academic rigor, and adhere to academic norms.
  2. Align with the educational philosophy and core values of FYUST, including “Respect for Law and Nature, Love for People, and Strive for Perfection”, integrity and sincerity, and a commitment to excellence.
  3. Process a strong educational background. Candidates applying for teaching-oriented positions should hold a doctoral degree from the renowned domestic or international universities; candidates applying for engineering positions should hold a master’s degree or higher from the renowned domestic or international universities.
  4. Physically and mentally healthy, meeting the requirements of the physical examination standards for teacher qualification applicants in Fujian Province.
  5. Able to work full-time on campus during the employment period.

 

  • Qualifications
  1. Teaching and Research-Oriented Teachers

Job scope:

Undertake course teaching and talent cultivation tasks for undergraduate and graduate students; lead national vertical and horizontal scientific research projects; publish influential and high-level papers, and possess authorized invention patents with high or potential high value;  carry out discipline and faculty construction actively; complete exchanging and cooperating projects with well-known universities or research institutions; accomplish other teaching, research, and service related tasks arranged by the school.

Qualifications:

  • Academic level and qualifications should meet the corresponding standards for equivalent positions (professor, associate professor, assistant professor) in high-level universities;
  • Having published influential and high-level papers in the discipline, with experience in scientific research projects. Applicants with experiences in leading national key or major scientific research projects are preferred;
  • Applicants with undergraduate/graduate teaching experience and outstanding teaching achievements are preferred;
  • Professors should generally not exceed the age of 55, and those who are particularly outstanding should generally not exceed the age of 65; Associate professors should generally not exceed the age of 45; Assistant professors should generally not exceed the age of 35. Priority will be given to those with overseas educational background and research experience.

 

  • ResearchOriented Teachers

Job scope:

Lead national vertical and horizontal scientific research projects; Publish high-level scientific research papers and possess authorized invention patents with high or potential high value; Complete other scientific research tasks assigned by the school.

Qualifications:

  • The research level and qualifications should meet the corresponding standards for equivalent positions (researcher, associate researcher, assistant researcher) in high-level universities or research institutions;
  • Publish high-level scientific research papers, lead national vertical and horizontal scientific research projects. Applicants with experience in leading national key or major scientific research projects are preferred;
  • Understand the academic development trends in the forefront field of this discipline, actively participate in domestic and international academic activities, and have independent research and innovative exploration abilities;
  • The age of researchers should generally not exceed 55 years old, associate researchers should generally not exceed 45 years old, and assistant researchers should generally not exceed 35 years old. Priority will be given to those with overseas educational background and research experience.

 

  • TeachingOriented Teachers

Job scope:

Undertake course teaching tasks; undertake and/or assist in the construction and management of courses and/or laboratories; undertake or assist in the construction of teaching faculty; lead or participate in teaching research and teaching reform research projects or related scientific research projects, and publish research papers; complete other tasks assigned by relevant departments.

Qualifications:

  • The teaching level and qualifications should meet the corresponding standards for equivalent positions (professor, associate professor, assistant professor) in high-level universities or research institutions;
  • Applicants with teaching experience in high-level universities and outstanding teaching skills are preferred;
  • Applicants with teaching and research work experience, who have led national level teaching and research projects, and have won national or provincial teaching achievement awards in higher education are preferred;
  • Understand the development trends of teaching in this discipline and be able to continuously integrate the research results of cutting-edge fields into the curriculum system;
  • Professors should generally not exceed the age of 55, and exceptionally outstanding individuals should generally not exceed the age of 60; Associate professors should generally not exceed the age of 45; Assistant professors should generally not exceed the age of 35.

 

  • Recruitment Process

  2. Iinitial Review: Please allow two weeks to a month for initial review of each submittal. Those who have not received the interview invitation for more than two months may consider unsuccessful.
  3. Interview: The human resources department of the university will work with the schools, departments and centers to organize interviews regularly, and details will be followed.
  4. Physical examination: Intended employee should undergo physical examination, with the examination standards referring to the standards for teachers in Fujian Province.
  5. Entry: The university notifies the intended employees to complete the relevant procedures for employment. If the intended candidate waives their employment qualification, please submit a statement via email.
