Key Responsibilities:

35% Strategic Operations- Lead and Manage VisionFund operations for the THRIVE 2030 Programme

Objective: Provide strategic guidance, management and leadership on THRIVE 2030 VisionFund initiatives and co-ordination of the technical teams and MFIs in VisionFund (VF) to ensure all VF entities are well aligned with World Vision (WV) for the successful implementation of the program.

• Be the key central point of contact for VF with WVUS, coordinating with the FAST, EWV, Insurance, AgriFinance and Digitization leads representing VF on WVI/WVUS forums, Working groups, pulling in technical leads as needed.
• Monitor project compliance and implementation to ensure projects are delivered to specifications.
• Coordinate VF representation and participation at THRIVE 2030 forums and start up workshops.
• Lead reviews and updates of THRIVE 2030 Business Plan for VF.
• Ensure that agreed reporting requirements for THRIVE 2030 are embedded in VisionFund systems and processes and oversee the consolidation and quality assurance of global reporting of all components to WVUS on quarterly basis.
• Coordinate with WVUS to ensure timely and effective communication and collaboration with VF on THRIVE 2030.
• Provide strategic support alongside VFI technical leads, to MFIs where needed, particularly the LAC region, building all MFIs capacity for managing THRIVE 2030 ( MoU compliance, integration, relationship building, and partnerships) .
• Chair regular VF coordination meeting with technical and fundraising leads and attend relevant leadership EEBP meetings proposed by WVUS.
• Provide strategic guidance to support VisionFunds fundraising for THRIVE 2030 working closely with VFI Fundraising leads, taking a lead role on a VF Fundraising leadership steering group.

20% Integration- Internal and External

Objective: Ensure that VisionFund and World Vision plus external partners are aligned to THRIVE 2030 objectives and targets and engage these partners to align strategies and resources.

• In collaboration with the Agriculture Finance Manager, Financial Services Digitization Manager and Savings Groups Linkage Director, cultivate and strengthen strategic Financial Inclusion partnerships with DreamSave, FCI and Mastercard in support of THRIVE 2030 objectives to ensure VF priorities are integrated and identify other potential areas of collaboration.
• Identify ways, in collaboration with WVUS and partners for maintaining the impact of THRIVE 2030 partnerships beyond the life of the programme.
• Ensure alignment on EWV between THRIVE 2030 partners, WVUS, VFI Fast and VFI EWV teams, to ensure meeting of THRIVE objectives.
• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to strengthen VF MFIs and WV FOs integration for THRIVE 2030 implementation, ensuring alignment and collaboration (lead of integration webinars, regional steering committees leadership where needed e.g., in LAC region)

20% Partnerships and Leveraging Learning

Objective: Raise the profile of VF impact on THRIVE 2030 with both internal and external audiences, leveraging learning for additional partnering and funding opportunities.

• Support VF research and learning agenda in collaboration with Technical Teams in support of THRIVE 2030 learning agenda, compilation and dissemination of program impact from an external point of view.
• Ensure outcomes from the EEBP are high-quality and high impact through ongoing monitoring and the execution of mid-term and final evaluations, operations research, etc.
• Review field reports and findings/recommendations to determine and replicate best practices and apply lessons learned.
• Bring learning and best practice from THRIVE 2030 to support the establishment and marketing of the Strong Women Impact Fund, working with VFI Fundraising and Funding leads and WVUS.
• Work with WVUS to continue engagements on M&E framework and on the research learning agenda for VisionFund FAST and support the related implementation.
• Build Vision Funds reputation and technical brand by presenting THRIVE work at sector conferences and workshops, participate in social media surrounding VFs work and other technical initiatives to reinforce the technical brand
• Leveraging learning from THRIVE 2030, support pre-positioning and grant acquisition efforts with the wider fundraising team with global target donors.
• Maintain knowledge of microfinance industry and trends including focus on targeted donors (including those prioritized by World Vision EE Working Group) and support with GAM technical branding products based on this knowledge and learning from THRIVE 2030.

25% Strategic & Technical Leadership on S4T (Savings for Transformation) and integration to VFIs FAST product

Objective: Working closely with WVUS, Provide strategic leadership and oversight on the implementation, improving quality and scale up of S4T programming in support of World Vision THRIVE 2030 objectives.

Deliverables

• Coaching, capacity building (recommending training) and mentoring FO and SO staff at all levels to ensure fidelity of new and mature S4T groups in THRIVE 2030 as per minimum standards as a building block to financial inclusion..
• Provide relationship management strategic guidance and support for S4T digitization with Dreamstart Labs to support THRIVE 2030.
• Maintain an overview of S4T programming portfolio across the THRIVE 2030 areas and ensure high quality and impactful programming, advance learning and innovation.
• In collaboration with ICT Integration Manager, support THRIVE FO’s to ensure that project activities and progress are regularly captured in SAVIX and Dream save Insights.
• Provide strategic leadership on the THRIVE 2030 research agenda on S4T Digitization and ensure Dreamstart Labs participation.
• In collaboration with VFI Savings Groups Linkage Director, ensure that S4T and VFs lending products for savings groups are well aligned to achieve THRIVE 2030 goals
• Working with VFI SGs Linkage Director, determine the technical capacity needs of the S4T and FAST CoP to identify opportunities for further impact. Serve as WVUS and VFI main point of contact for financial inclusion project management, reporting and donor engagement related to the THRIVE project.
