The Scope
We are looking for an engaged Trademark Market Development Manager who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.
All over the world, consumers recognise and value the FSC label on products. FSC Promotional Licences are designed for brands and retailers that sell or use FSC-labelled products and would like to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable forest management. The Trademark Market Development Manager will promote FSC Promotional Licences in countries in Europe and the Middle East with no national FSC presence.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive demand for FSC-certified products and Promotional Licenses in selected European and Middle Eastern countries.
- Identify and segment brands and retailers that sell or use FSC certified products.
- Guide and negotiate with brands and retailers on new Promotional Licenses.
- Guide Promotional License Holders on how to use the FSC trademarks, ensuring that communication is in line with FSC requirements.
- Run annual controls of companies’ marketing and communication of FSC certified products.
- Monitor and manage FSC trademark infringement cases.
- Ensure invoices for Promotional License Agreements are sent out on time, contracts are renewed on a needs basis and information in central databases is kept up to date.
- Coordinate the translation of sector-specific promotional materials.
- Support incoming requests from stakeholders including companies that want to obtain Chain of Custody certification.
- Support European Network Partners with scaling and servicing Promotional Licenses across the region.
- Proactively build out global sales capabilities, methodologies, and tools for Promotional Licenses.
- Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs.
Your profile
Education and Training: - University degree or equivalent training or experience in a relevant field, for example, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics.
Working Experience, Style and Skills:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in in one or more of the following: consultative sales, account management, business and/or development, marketing, and/or related fields.
- Ability to manage a client portfolio across several countries and in a multicultural environment.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, trusted relationship builder.
- Administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Solution and service-oriented attitude to work.
- Strategic thinking and business mindset.
- Proven ability to plan and organize work.
- Networking skills.
- Collaborative and open working style.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well as a member of a multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary, multi-lingual, global team.
Language & Communication Skills:
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Other language proficiency is a plus (Arabic, Turkish or an Eastern European language).
- Exemplary verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Digital Skills – good skills in the use of/experience with:
- Standard software packages (MS Office).
- Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems for example, Salesforce.

The Fine Print
- Location: Bonn, Germany.
- Working Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week.
- Duration of Employment: Temporary contract – 2 years (extension possible, subject to satisfactory performance).
- Starting Date: As soon as possible.
