The Great Basin Institute (GBI) and the Nevada Conservation Corps (NCC) are seeking 3 trail technicians focusing on trail construction, maintenance, and management. Ideal candidates will have a background in Recreation Management, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, or similar fields. Located in Lassen National Forest, this role offers a unique opportunity for individuals eager to advance their careers in recreation and natural resource management, combining hands-on experience with environmental conservation and community engagement in a stunning natural setting. Qualifications:
Seeking candidates with relevant experience in outdoor recreation management, GIS, conservation, and trail construction. Ideal applicants are resourceful, adaptable, and capable of working effectively with diverse volunteers in various outdoor settings (backcountry and wilderness). COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The compensation rate is $21.00 hourly, includes housing, and a per diem allowance of $15.00 per field day.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, stand, walk, bend, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer business equipment and other job/industry specific equipment. Ability to perform heavy physical labor. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds on occasion and up to 50 to 75 pounds for field-related work. The noise level in the work environment is usually mid level.
The overall nature of the position is both sedentary and active, at times requiring little physical effort and occasional light exertion and at times requiring frequent physical effort and exertion. There is frequent exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and temperature changes while in the field.
