Trainee Estimator / Quantity SurveyorStrong Group are working with an established and respected M&E specialist based near Birmingham who are actively searching for a capable Trainee Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.The candidate should be bright and enthusiastic.The ideal candidate will come from an M&E background and will have a good educational background (BSc ideal)Full training will be given.** YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DISPLAY A BRITISH PASSPORT / ILR STATUS TO APPLY TO THIS ROLE ***Job Description for a Trainee Estimator/Quantity Surveyor:

• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Assisting with Procurement
• Cost control
• Writing reports
• Preparing Subcontracts
• Valuing completed work
• Assisting in the preparation of client valuations
• Arranging payments to suppliers and subcontractors
• Assisting with Change Control management
• Assisting in the preparation of final accounts
• Providing advice and forecasts about costs
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
• Assisting with any Contractual Notices
• Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
• Ensuring Collateral Warranties are tracked, issued, executed
• Ensuring latest Insurances are in place for Subcontractors working on Project
• Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
