We are looking for an enthusiastic, studying, finance professional to join the Trusts Finance Corporate Services Team, playing a key role in shaping what our service delivery looks like and making a difference in the challenging financial environment, both now and in the future.The applicant should currently be studying for their CCAB qualification and be looking to qualify within the next 2 and a half years. On achievement of the CCAB qualification and progression through a competency framework there will be the opportunity to progress to a Band 7 Finance Partner role.A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will support the Corporate Services Division and provide comprehensive financial advice and support managers to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of resources within their control. They will need to be persuasive when dealing with conflicting priorities and ensure that financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood at all levels of the Trust, and optimum value for money is achieved.The Trainee Finance Partner will liaise closely with Divisional and Trust stakeholders in an outward-facing role to utilise their financial acumen to support in the development of annual plans, forecasts and identification of key risks and mitigations to delivery of the plan. You will be involved in influencing business decisions by providing support and challenge in the development of business cases for investment.They should have excellent communication skills and the necessary personal qualities to engage effectively with Senior Managers and their teams. To manage and develop finance staff on a day to day basis and deputise for the Deputy Head of Finance when required. To act as finance lead on a range of projects and business tenders.Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
