Our client has an exciting opportunity as a Logistics Shipping Clerk Trainee, where you will be immersed in the dynamic world of Shipping and Logistics for international requirements.

This role offers fantastic comprehensive training in various aspects of logistics and warehouse operations.

As well as an office-based role, this will also involve a hands-on element within the warehouse so you will understand the full process of import/export and the shipping of goods.

In training your duties will include :-

  • Speak directly with clients and suppliers to facilitate smooth logistics operations to meet their expectations.
  • Ensure successful delivery of shipped parcels by managing Proof of Delivery (POD) processes.
  • Liaise with carriers and transport companies to ensure best practices and competitive pricing.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks, including lifting goods when required signing them in and out of the warehouse. Maintaining stock levels on the WMS (warehouse management system)
  • Picking and packing of orders ready to be sent out daily
  • Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to uphold efficient distribution and storage processes.
  • Learn how to complete shipping, customs and warehousing administration for air, sea, road and rail freight.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident and reliable
  • Possess good computer skills and keen to learn new systems
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Can cope with a changing work load and be able to prioritise work
  • Keen to attend training courses and to learn from others to develop a career

Working hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9am- 6pm with 1 hours lunch break

Expected salary

£23795 – 26500 per year
