Background
Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is implementing a project aimed at improving peaceful coexistence and social cohesion in conflict-affected communities within the Ninewa Governorate, Iraq. As part of this initiative, WEO is conducting a capacity-building program to enhance the knowledge and skills of agricultural workers, smallholder farmers, and youth in sustainable and natural farming methods. This component of the project focuses on supporting agricultural resilience and promoting environmentally sound practices in the districts of Hamdaniya, Tal Afar, and Sinjar.
Purpose
This Terms of Reference outlines the responsibilities and expectations for a qualified Trainer who will be responsible for designing and delivering a 75-day technical training program on natural and sustainable farming practices. The training will combine both theoretical learning and practical, hands-on approaches to equip participants with the tools and knowledge needed to adopt and promote environmentally responsible agricultural techniques.
Training Objectives
The training program will aim to:
· Strengthen soil health, improve agricultural productivity, and promote sustainable farming practices.
· Enhance participants’ understanding of climate resilience through nature-based solutions and encourage knowledge transfer within their communities.
· Improve local farming techniques and foster long-term engagement in sustainable practices, thereby contributing to the economic resilience of participants and their communities.
Scope of Work
The Trainer will:
· Design and implement a comprehensive 75-day technical training program (delivered across 15 training sessions, each 5 days in length).
· Ensure the training is interactive, locally relevant, and practical, enabling participants to immediately apply techniques on their farms.
· Deliver both foundational knowledge and advanced skills in natural farming, sustainable agriculture, and regenerative practices.

Deliverables
The Trainer is expected to provide:
· A comprehensive training curriculum and learning materials (including practical exercises and theoretical content).
· Pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate knowledge gain and skill acquisition.
· Successful facilitation of 15 sessions (totaling 75 training days).
· Train 300 participants, including ( Agricultural workers, Smallholder farmers. Youth (with a focus on inclusion from conflict-affected areas)
· Provide reports detailing participant progress, engagement, and feedback.
· Technical guidance on the creation and management of Farmer Field Schools (FFS), including strategies for stakeholder involvement and long-term sustainability.

نطاق العمل
سيتولى المدرب المهام التالية:
• تصميم وتنفيذ برنامج تدريب فني شامل لمدة 75 يومًا (يُقدم عبر 15 جلسة تدريبية، مدة كل منها 5 أيام).
• ضمان أن يكون التدريب تفاعليًا، وملائمًا للظروف المحلية، وعمليًا، مما يُمكّن المشاركين من تطبيق التقنيات فورًا في مزارعهم.

• تقييمات قبل التدريب وبعده لتقييم اكتساب المعرفة والمهارات.
• تيسير 15 جلسة تدريبية بنجاح (بإجمالي 75 يومًا تدريبيًا).
• تدريب 300 مشارك، بمن فيهم (العمال الزراعيون، والمزارعين، والشباب (مع التركيز على دمجهم من المناطق المتأثرة بالنزاعات).
