Position Summary
The trainer will conduct trainings for women associations about techniques related to agricultural and horticultural production
Responsibilities and duties
The trainer will have the following tasks:
– Preparing the pre- and post- tests
– Developing training tools and materials (hard copy, digital) in cooperation with international experts;
– Train the beneficiaries and strengthen their techniques of planting, propagating, and harvesting of aloe vera and other local products in Jordan
– Transfer the good practices among the associations
– Analyzing the pre and post tests and sharing the results with FJPII
– Training follow-up through sharing the material
– Ensure proper data collection, record keeping and reporting
– Final report submission in Arabic or English
Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in in agriculture, horticulture, plant protection, agriculture engineering, or agricultural extension (a minor in communication, marketing or business is a plus)
– At least 2 years of professional working experience with smallholder farmers of SMEs in horticulture, vocational training in Jordan
– Able to communicate well, in person and online
– Willingness and ability to travel to all project areas
– Driving license
– Demonstrated ability to use Word, Excel and Power Point.
– Ability to work independently and adaptable;
– Good spoken and written communication skills in English and excellent Arabic;
Deliverables
1. Workplan for the entire duration of the assignment
2. Pre- and post- test
3. Set of training materials and tools
4.Final report including suggestions on future capacity strengthening needs.
