About Aid Gate Organization “AGO”

Aid Gate Organization (AGO) is an independent national NGO in Iraq, committed to supporting Internally Displaced Persons, returnees, and vulnerable communities across all Iraqi cities and governorates. With operations in key regions such as Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, Anbar, Nineveh, Diyala, and Basra, AGO focuses on rebuilding lives and promoting inclusivity for all, including minorities and persons with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development:
    • Develop a 4-day training curriculum on digital storytelling, covering:
      • Fundamentals of storytelling for peacebuilding.
      • Videography and photojournalism techniques using smartphones.
      • Editing and production using free digital tools.
      • Ethical storytelling, media literacy, and online safety.
  • Conduct the aforementioned training sessions
  • Conduct pre- and post-assessments to measure learning progress.
  • Collect attendance, feedback, and content samples.
  • Submit a final report with achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Ensure content promotes inclusion, respect, and Do No Harm principles.
  • Uphold data privacy, informed consent, and ethical media practices.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in digital storytelling, photojournalism, videography, or multimedia content creation.
  • Experience in peacebuilding, youth engagement, or countering violent extremism (CVE/PVE) programs.
  • Proficiency in using smartphones and free/low-cost editing platforms.
  • Strong facilitation and mentorship skills with youth.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is an added value.
