Responsible and challenging

AGIAMONDO e.V. is the personnel service of German Catholics for development cooperation. In the Civil Peace Service, we offer professionals the opportunity to perform meaningful service in cooperation with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (ZFD) is a personnel program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions. It is committed to a world in which conflicts are resolved without violence. Together with church and civil society partner organizations in Uganda, AGIAMONDO aims to make a contribution to civil conflict resolution and sustainable, equitable development in the country through peace-building measures.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes promote peace work in conflict-affected regions of Kenya, which are often characterized by resource-related tensions, migration and political rivalries. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen the peace and conflict skills of the sisters and to develop sustainable approaches to conflict transformation. In doing so, you can familiarize yourself with the local communities and their dynamic challenges in peace work. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes run a permaculture farm that can be integrated into your work. You will have the opportunity to put permaculture principles into practice not only in the agricultural sector but also in peace work and to incorporate these concepts into your didactic work. In this way, you can develop innovative approaches that combine ecological and social aspects and promote sustainable peace initiatives. Nyeri, a small green town at the foot of Mount Kenya.
