Project description: The Peace and Freedom Organization, in partnership with search of Common ground, within the JISRA project (Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action ) has been implementing the promotion of tolerant attitudes and inclusive intrareligious norms project. Through lleading a series training discussion including, Religious, tribal, and civic actors, media platforms, youth and women, have sustained platforms for dialogue across religious actors, the attendance, have increased skills in conflict analysis, interest-based negotiation, develop strategies to address the emerging needs and demands of faith communities. Inter-religious dialogue groups engage with security actors through Religious Fora about concerns identified in their communities, By identifying their needs in terms of promoting peaceful coexistence, we will be able to design actionable advocacy campaigns in the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Director of organization, and
direct supervision of the Project Managers, the trainer shall perform the following duties:
Training skills:
organizing time according to the training agenda
Skills in managing sessions
The ability to contain attendees and attract their attention to make them interact with the trainer.
Ability to communicate:
Ability to communicate visually and verbally with attendees.
Ability to resolve conflicts if they occur during training
Ability to make attendees interact with training materials.
Ability to collect data:
The ability to distribute lecturers into groups to obtain data about the needs of the local community and what achieves the project goals.
Ability to collect data on project ideas that may turn into advocacy campaigns aimed at building peace in the region.
Ability to prepare a detailed report:
Preparing a detailed report at the academic level specifying what was discussed during the training.
Ability to analyze data collected from attendees.
Ability to identify stakeholders from the attendance:
Through high communication skills, stakeholders can be identified among the participants.
Writing a detailed report on potential stakeholders.
Monitoring:
Monitor the implementation of peace programs and initiatives.
Ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.
Coordination:
Collaborate with project team’s member.
Ensure effective communication between him-her and the project management.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
To hold Bachelor’s degree, higher is preferable in the fields of law, political science, sociology, or a peace diploma.
It must be exclusively from Sheikhan District.
Minimum two year of humanitarian field experience as a trainer.
High professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and Kurdish Kermangy .
Highly motivated.
Familiarity with the local community and authorities.
Computer literacy.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational abilities.
High professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
Flexibility regarding working hours, including weekends.
Women and youth have priority
