Position Summary:
The Corpsmember Training and Education Coordinator leads their assigned department in developing a Corpsmember progression, and identifying relevant skills for potential career pathways. The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include curriculum development, coordinating training and job-training educational opportunities, instructing and leading programs, and supervising Corpsmembers in implementation of training programs. The Coordinator is also responsible for tracking progress toward, and ultimately, meeting all goals relating to training and Corpsmembers development.
In addition to strong communication and organizational skills, the Coordinator should also be able to maintain professionalism at all times while working with various department staff and external partners. Applicants should also be comfortable in taking a leadership role and have prior experience in training instruction, education, or public speaking.
This role is 100% in-person located at 1560 Berger Drive, San Jose, CA 95112.

Minimum Qualifications:
Driving Record and Requirements: This position requires driving a company vehicle between locations. If the position is offered and accepted, candidates must submit a copy of their DMV driver’s record. The candidate also must possess and continue to maintain a valid California Class C driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Employment Eligibility: Federal law requires all employees to provide verification of their eligibility to work in the United States. Please be informed that San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School will NOT sponsor, represent, or sign any documents related to visa applications/transfers for H1-B or any other type of visa which requires an employer application.
Medical Verification: State law requires all employees working with youth to provide medical verification of negative tuberculosis test results within the last year. Employees will also be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Background Check and Fingerprinting: If the position is offered and accepted, candidates will be required to undergo Live Scan Fingerprinting as well as a background check, which includes a criminal history records check.
Drug Screen: If the position is offered and accepted, candidates will be required to undergo and pass a 5-panel drug screen.

**SJCC+CS IS A MANDATORY COVID-19 VACCINATION EMPLOYER**
All new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination absent an approved medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. If a new hire is in the process of being vaccinated, their start date may be adjusted to a future date after they have been vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means at it has been at least two weeks since the person has completed the entire recommended initial series of a COVID-19 vaccine.
