Reports to:  Program Director. 

Number of positions: 2

Location:  1 position in Anbar and 1 position in Basrah, Iraq

Travel:  Yes, within the relevant governorate’s cities.

 

Position is contingent on Funding. The anticipated award date is May 1, 2024.

 

 

The Near East Foundation (NEF) is seeking candidates for Training Coordinator to be based in Anbar & Basrah, Iraq. For over 100 years, NEF has worked to build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities in the Middle East and Africa through education, governance, and economic development initiatives. Working through a network of country offices and local partners, NEF currently operates in ten countries: Armenia, Jordan, Lebanon, Mali, Morocco, Palestine, Senegal, South Sudan, Syria and Sudan. Its programs are organized around three themes: Inclusive Economic Development, Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management, and Peacebuilding.

 

The position

 

The Near East Foundation (NEF) is currently recruiting for the position of Training Coordinator to be based in Anbar & Basrah, Iraq. This dual role demands individuals who can (1) cultivate the capabilities of a group of locally embedded Master Trainers and associated modules and systems, aiding individual beneficiary businesses in navigating the business diagnostic and development process; (2) oversee the training sessions being held in the respective cities, ensuring all logistical, programmatic, and administrative requirements are met and delivered properly. (3) involve integrating Financial Inclusion initiatives within the training programs, fostering economic empowerment and access to financial resources for the project’s target beneficiaries. This aspect will involve establishing connections with diverse stakeholders pertinent to market facilitation, ranging from major corporations to business associations.

 

 

Main duties include:

 

Training Program Coordination:

 

  • Coordinate and schedule training programs for employees, ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place.
  • Communicate training schedules, locations, and other relevant details to participants.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and develop appropriate programs.

 

Training Material Preparation:

 

  • Assist in the development of training materials, presentations, and manuals.
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date and aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Manage training resources and equipment, ensuring they are readily available for use.

 

Facilitation and Delivery:

 

  • Facilitate training sessions either in-person or virtually, ensuring engagement and participation.
  • Provide support and guidance to trainers and facilitators as needed.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback and performance assessments.

 

Documentation and Reporting:

 

  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and evaluations.
  • Generate reports on training metrics, including participation rates, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in training programs.

 

Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in training and development.
  • Solicit feedback from participants and stakeholders to refine training programs and delivery methods.
