Founded in 2011, International NGO Safety Organization (INSO) is an international non-governmental organization that supports humanitarian actors in security matters by establishing security coordination platforms in risky contexts.
INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services, including real-time incident monitoring, analytical reporting, security-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff guidance and training.
INSO provides daily support to more than 1,200 NGOs in 16 of the world’s most unstable countries.
INSO is registered in the Netherlands with its headquarters in The Hague, the international city of peace and justice.
INSO Haiti Mission?
Present in Haiti since June 2022, INSO now has nearly 70 partners. INSO Haiti is based in Port-au-Prince and covers the entire country. In Haiti, INSO supports partner NGOs to enable the delivery of aid to the most vulnerable populations, by providing them with advice and analysis on the local situation, support for crisis management, training on access and security while facilitating NGO coordination and advocacy for humanitarian access.
INSO in Haiti is looking for a Training Manager (TM) based in Port-au-Prince and mobile throughout the country.
Job Overview?
As a Training Manager, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, facilitating and evaluating training to support national and international NGOs in security management, crisis management, individual security and humanitarian access. You will ensure compliance with INSO training standards and best practices, lead the two-person training team, as well as the preparation and implementation of the annual training plan.
The ideal candidate is fluent in French and has strong experience in the humanitarian sector, adult learning or civil security and safety, with strong project management skills.
Main Responsibilities?
Implementation of the training plan
• Conduct a training needs assessment.
• Contextualize the training delivered in coordination with other program components.
• Plan and organize training taking into account logistical and financial aspects.
• Deliver planned training (14 sessions planned for the next 6 months).
• Communicate with partners about training.
• Archive documentation and statistical data in an orderly and accessible manner
• Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the impact of training in coordination with the Information team and the Headquarters Training Department and, if necessary, propose changes to the content.
• Coordinate the action of the service with other program components and the Operations and Finance departments as well as with the Headquarters Training Directorate.
• Contribute, in your field, to the drafting of reports sent to donors.
Supervise the training team
• Ensure the management of the team’s human resources in liaison with the Operations department.
• Facilitate individual training for team members.
Contribute to INSO’s influence
• Ensure the consistency of messages delivered by all program components.
• Maintain recognition of INSO’s mandate as well as its adherence to humanitarian principles.
• Participate in global initiatives to develop new training activities.
Qualifications and skills required?
• Fluent French required, ability to communicate in English;
• At least 3 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, adult education (including educational engineering) and/or civil safety and security;
• At least 2 years of experience in team and project management;
• Strong skills in safety and security management, ideally in the NGO sector;
• Professional experience in conflict affected areas.
Desirable characteristics
• Experience in organizing and facilitating adult training and public speaking.
• Experience relating to the management of NGO safety and security, personal security, access and humanitarian negotiation.
• Affirmed humanitarian commitment and motivation to support INSO’s partner NGOs.

Terms and conditions
The position is based in Port-au-Prince with field travel. 12 month contract. Monthly salary of €5,000 per month, 4 calendar days of annual leave per month worked, 7 days of R&R every 2 months with compensation of €1,250, accommodation, global medical coverage (United States excluded) and life insurance included.
