5. General Background of Project or Assignment:

UNHCR Thailand Multi-Country Office provided assistance to refugees and stateless persons in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam. The provision of assistance and services are implemented directly by UNHCR or through our partners.

In 2024, UNHCR introduced a new partnership agreement laying down the basis for the cooperation between UNHCR and its partners. This assignment looks to have the partnership agreement and its annexes (hereinafter “partnership agreement”) translated from English into Thai concisely and accurately. The translated documents will be shared with UNHCR current and potential partners to facilitate their understanding of the provisions of the partnership agreement.

6. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Partnership agreement and its annexes (approximately 32 pages) need to be translated from English into Thai.

7. Monitoring and Progress Controls

UNHCR will review the translated the partnership agreement and provide feedback to ensure accuracy.

8. Definition of the Final Product

The partnership agreement will be translated from English into Thai.

9. Qualification and Experience of the Individual Contractor

• Fluency in written English and Thai;
• Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field;
• Knowledge of computer applications particularly Microsoft office;
• Experience in carrying our translation work for legal, project management and/or financial documents from Thai to English and vice versa
