The UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEPCCwas established in early UNEPCCC is programmatically guided by UN Environment (UNEand operationally supported by UNOPS. UNEPCCC was established to ensure preservation and continuation of the experience and capacity established through a 30year working relationship between UNEP, DTU, and the MFA, known as the UNEP DTU Partnership (UD.
UNEPCCC is a leading international advisory institution on energy, climate and sustainable development. Its work focuses on assisting developing countries and emerging economies transition towards more low carbon development paths and supports integration of climateresilience in national development. UNEPCCC is actively engaged in implementing UN Environment’s MediumTerm Strategy by delivering technical assistance and analytical work to emerging markets and developing countries in context of the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals. The Centre is an integral part of a new Climate Change Division working closely with UNEP colleagues in Nairobi and Paris.
The Mitigation Analysis and Data Management Section (MA&Dis one of five sections at UNEPCCC. MA&DM works on supporting countries in identifying and implementing costeffective mitigation policies and actions in different sectors, as well as strengthening countries´ capacities to use tools and establish national frameworks to assess climate actions in the context of their NDCs and report on their progress. In addition, MA&DM promotes sharing experience and raising awareness globally on climate change mitigation through the compilation of key GHG data and through the development of global mitigation assessments such as the UNEP Emissions Gap report.
MA&DM section is involved in several projects that support the Centre strategy in the areas of mitigation policy planning and transparency. MA&DM seeks to recruit an experienced Transparency Project Manager. The successful candidate will be part of the team implementing projects related to the Enhanced Transparency Framework, such as the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIandits Global Support Programme (CBITGS. This project is a Global Environmental Facility’s (GEfunded project, implemented by UNEP and executed by UNEPCCC. The candidate is expected to strengthen the visibility of the section’s transparency work in international fora and contribute to analytical work and publications.

PLEASE NOTE THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THIS PARTNER PERSONNEL POSITION :
Relocation: No relocation support/grant will be provided. You will be responsible for arranging your own accommodation. UNEPCCC will arrange for your flight tickets (not dependantto the duty station but will not cover your travel insurance.
UNEPCCC will, however, support the process to obtain your (including your dependantresidency and work permit, if required.
Taxation: Copenhagen is a taxfree duty station. However, you are obligated to adhere to your home country/country of residence’s tax laws enforced by the respective national tax authorities. The same applies regarding Social Security.
Medical Insurance: You should arrange for your International Health Insurance. UNOPS has an agreement with Cigna which offers the Cigna Select Plan on a voluntary basis.
Dependent spouse and children support: You will be responsible for arranging schooling of your children. UNEPCCC does not provide any support to your dependents.
