  • Plan and allocate all Pallet Network consignments plus customer collections to the local Palletforce fleet ensuring optimum utilisation and profitability within the constraints of cargo availability, vehicle availability, customer requirements and legal restrictions.
  • Prepare and produce Vehicle and Load Manifests and customer paperwork and present to the Warehouse and assigned drivers.
  • Liaise with the drivers to identify and plan their arrival back at the depot.
  • Provide the main point of contact for drivers and other Pallet Network depots, resolving email and telephone queries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
  • Provide customer service support to the Palletforce team and frontline support to the other Palletforce depots.
  • Assist the Line Manager in the management of the Fleet’s headcount and utilisation in conjunction with the Transport Manager, providing additional resources as required.
  • Be reactive to daily problems and be prepared to be reactive to emergencies.
  • Any duties / tasks as requested by the Line Manager or a Director
  • Previous experience working within a transport administration role would be desirable.
  • Good understanding of driver hours working time directive regulations.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
